Social Media and Communication Policy
The document below outlines my policy related to the use of Social Media and communication. Please read it to understand how I conduct myself on the Internet as a mental health professional/mental health practice and how you can expect me to respond to various interactions that may occur on the Internet and through other forms of communication. As new technology develops and the Internet changes, there may be times when I need to update this policy. If I do so, I will post the new policy here so that you can review it as desired.
Questions or concerns?
If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding this policy or anything else related to privacy and confidentiality, please don’t ever hesitate to contact me directly.
Important!
Now-a-days, it is so important for you as a consumer to know what to expect when entering into any form of relationship, whether business, therapeutic, or other. Understandably, due to the nature of therapy, the therapeutic relationship is unique as there are added ethical considerations, licensing requirements, practice guidelines and policies put into place largely to protect you. These policies are structured to help protect your privacy, confidentiality, emotional well-being, progress in treatment and many other vital aspects of the therapeutic work.
Whether coming to see me for therapy or still shopping around, make sure to ask the therapist about these very important pieces to receiving therapy.
